Correction of a receding chin can be achieved by installing a silicone or medpor implant or a much better, safer and more natural technique, using your own fat tissue.

Operative technique:A 3-4 cm long incision is made on the mucous membrane of the inner side of the lower lip, along the lower edge of the gums, the skin and subcutaneous tissue are separated from the central part of the lower jaw and a semi-arched silicone implant is placed in the formed space. An external approach through a horizontal incision under the chin is also used, but involves a discrete scar.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: The operation usually lasts about 30 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia.

Recovery: Sutures are resorbed by themselves. Mild disinfection of the oral cavity with hydrogen and chamomile for several days, as well as a diet of liquid and chopped food.

Rare complications: Swelling of the chin and slight bruising. Implant displacement can also occur.
