The Dermaroller is a medical instrument in the shape of a roller, with fine needles located on the rim of the roller, of different number, thickness and length, depending on the indications for which the Dermaroller is applied. The principle of functioning of this instrument is based on two mechanisms. The first is that the fine penetration of Dermaroller needles enables perforation, and thus the softening of the scar, while the second mechanism means minimal microtrauma that stimulates the development of new collagen and elastic fibers, which ultimately results in an improvement in the appearance of damaged skin in terms of its tightening and reduction of surface roughness in both normal and damaged skin.

Goal: Dermaroller therapy can be used for facial skin scars caused by acne, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation of various origins. The indication can be the softening of wrinkles, as well as the treatment of sun-damaged skin. Dermaroller therapy will result in an improvement in the appearance of your skin up to 70%. In order to get the full effect, the naturally induced biological processes of tightening and smoothing the skin require that the simple process of applying the dermaroller be repeated at least 3-4 times in a month’s space.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: The procedure is performed after applying a local anesthetic in the form of a cream, and then applying dermaroller to the affected skin. You have to keep in mind that the skin is red for up to 36 hours after the treatment. The duration of the procedure itself is up to half an hour.
