Body Liposculpture

Goal: Body reshaping by removing fat deposits from various parts of the body such as: hips, thighs, back, upper and lower abdomen, “riding pants”, inner thighs and knees, shins, ankles and inner upper arms. The removed fatty tissue can, if necessary, be filtered and returned to those parts of the body where there is a need for it (bumps, depressions, natural wrinkles, thickening of the lips, cheekbones, buttocks, etc.).

Operative technique: Fat tissue aspiration is performed through small punctures on the skin with special instruments (cannulas), which are inserted under the skin. Cannulas must be of different sizes and shapes (diameter 2-6 mm) to be able to extract fat evenly from all layers. The aspiration process is previously facilitated by injecting (infiltration) a saline solution with adrenaline or by breaking up fat tissue with ultrasound.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: Depending on the affected regions, liposuction can last from 1-5 hours and usually takes place under epidural anesthesia with analgosedation.

Recovery: Return to normal activities after 5-7 days. Immediately after the intervention, a corset is put on the patient, which should be worn for at least two to three weeks due to better skin contraction, i.e. until the swelling and bruising have completely subsided.

Rare complications: Transient bruising and swelling that gradually subside over two weeks. Transient disorders of skin sensitivity are possible, as well as possible minor bumps, which is why early postoperative massage and lymphatic drainage are advised. If the skin has lost all its elasticity, it is necessary to apply a skin reduction procedure (lifting of thighs, hips or arms).
