Eyelid Surgery

But your eyes also tell about you, bags under your eyes make you look older. Sagging eyelids give a “tired” and “sad” look, and in extreme cases, vision becomes weaker. A simple aesthetic intervention makes a dramatic shift in your appearance for the better, giving your face a new light and rejuvenating its appearance, reducing excess fat and skin.

Goal:Removal of excess loose skin and fatty tissue of the upper and lower eyelids, i.e. correction of dark circles. Correction of the upper and lower eyelids can be performed simultaneously or separately or as part of a facelift. At the same time, beveling of the outer corner of the eye can be done, giving the eyes a rejuvenated look (exotic look).

Operative technique:There are several operative techniques for the upper and lower eyelids and it is very important to combine them correctly in order to correct them. According to the previously marked drawing, the excess skin and fatty tissue of the upper eyelid with a scar in the fold of the eyelid is removed elliptically. The incision on the lower eyelid extends directly below the eyelashes, and if there is no excess skin, the fatty tissue is removed through the conjunctiva from the inner side of the eyelid, i.e. without an external scar.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: The operation is performed under local anesthesia for 30 minutes for the upper and 45 minutes for the lower eyelids.

Postoperative course: 24 hours after the operation, it is necessary to put cold compresses on the eyelids. The thread is removed in 5 days.

Rare complications: Inability to close the eyelid completely and tearing of the eye are temporary phenomena
