Breast Augmentation

Augmentation mammoplasty

The patient’s personal desire for breast enlargement is unequivocally followed by a medical decision by an expert, a plastic surgeon. The perception we have of ourselves determines who we are and how we present ourselves to others. Not every woman feels the need for breast augmentation, but it has given many women a sense of greater self-confidence and a more beautiful and sensual appearance. Nowadays, there are numerous operative options and solutions for breast augmentation, which you need to know before making the final decision.

There are numerous shapes and sizes of implants from different manufacturers, which are used today, of which only a certain type is adequate for each individual patient, which is all you need to know before surgery. In this way, you will avoid the influence of trading manipulation in your final decision.
In our clinic, only implants of the latest generation of circular and biodimensional implants from the world’s best manufacturers (POLYTECH, Mentor and Motiva) are used.

Each woman’s decision is individual and should be made based on her wishes, needs and expectations. Breast augmentation intervention is usually performed on people with constitutionally small breasts or breasts reduced after childbirth.

Immediately before the intervention, it is necessary to perform an ultrasound examination of the breasts or a mammographic examination, depending on the patient’s age and positive family history.

Goal:Increasing the volume of the breast and improving the shape with the help of implants with silicone gel placed behind the mammary gland/rarely /or under the pectoralis major muscle/ submuscular or dual plane /or the sheath of the pectoralis major muscle/ subfacial/.

Operative technique: The approach is most often used in the furrow under the breast, where an incision up to 4 cm long is made, so that it is hidden in a skin fold and completely invisible either on the periphery of the nipple ring or through the armpit.

Depending on the implant, a space is formed above (subglandular) or below the pectoral muscle (subpectoral) or the muscle sheath itself (subfascial), in which the prosthesis will be placed, leaving the mammary gland completely untouched.

The modern DUAL-PLANE or MULTIPLANE technique is most often used for subpectoral implant placement.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: The procedure lasts from 1 to 1.5 hours and is performed under local anesthesia, iv analgosedation or general anesthesia.

Recovery: Return to normal aktivbiodim-implatti after a few days. It is recommended to wear a special bra or bandage after surgery. Swelling and minor edema are present after surgery and disappear for the most part in ten days. During the first month, it is not desirable to carry out more difficult physical aktivbiodim-implatti.

Rare Complications: Transient nipple sensitivity disorder, slight swelling and a feeling of tension, which resolves in 1-2 weeks. The most well-known complication associated with silicone implants is capsular contracture/contraction of scar tissue around the implant, which in certain cases causes pain and deforms the appearance of the breast. Another known risk is cracking /rupture/ of the implant. Your surgeon will discuss with you all pre-biodim implants and the potential complications of this intervention.
