Breast Lift

It is an operation that lifts and reshapes sagging breasts. Patients often decide to undergo this operation after losing weight or after giving birth, when the volume of the gland that is no longer a gland is reduced.

Operative technique:Depending on the size and shape of the breasts, there are a number of operative techniques. Among them, the most common are the following:

1. Vertical technique with a circular scar around the nipple and a vertical scar from the nipple down.
2. Inverted T – A technique that involves a circular scar around the nipple, one vertical and one horizontal scar, in the crease under the breast.
3. Periareolar technique, after which only a circular scar remains around the nipple, which initially has folds around it, but which gradually disappear under the pressure of the gland from the inside. This technique is suitable for very large breasts.

If it is necessary to increase the volume of the breasts at the same time, the implant can be placed under or behind the gland, but most often under the muscle.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: The procedure lasts from 2.5 to 3.5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.

Recovery: Return to normal activities after 5-7 days. The sutures are removed after two weeks. Wearing a bra is recommended.

Rare complications: Transient nipple sensitivity disorder, mild swelling that resolves in 1-2 weeks. There is no guarantee that the function of breastfeeding will remain preserved. The scars are permanent, but gradually fade.
