Nipples Surgery

Women whose nipples are retracted (retraction) have not only an aesthetic problem, and consequently a lack of self-confidence, but often also a medical problem. In such situations, breastfeeding is almost impossible, but not so rarely secretions can stop, which can result in infection. Therefore, nipple plastic surgery is performed not only for the purpose of satisfying patients’ aesthetic deficiencies, but also for medically justified reasons. However, warts that are too large, as well as warts that are partially or completely missing after extensive surgical intervention can be reconstructed again.

Technique: Depending on the change in the shape and position of the wart, there are different techniques and approaches that can be used to correct the wart. Most often, techniques are applied that maximally preserve the ducts of the mammary glands, and thus the ability of the patient to breastfeed. Techniques that do not preserve the ducts are also applied, but are reserved for patients who do not plan to have more children.

Duration and anesthesia: Wart surgeries are outpatient procedures and are performed under local anesthesia. The duration of the procedures is from 30 minutes to an hour.

Recovery: After an intervention on the nipples, there is no need to rest for a long time. Returning to normal daily activities is very quick.

Complications: Complications after nipple surgery are very rare.
